Introducing once again Aurealis, a talented sonic architect hailing from the United States whose approach to making electronic pop is anything but conventional. Rather than viewing this genre as just a set of beats, he sees it as an extensive canvas where he can explore his favorite cinematic themes. Working out of his studio, this artist composes music that almost seems to have its own visual appeal, which is no mean feat given his ability to infuse his work with visual depth. His song “Shadow Of A Doubt” still rotates heavily in all my playlists, and it’s a song I listen to frequently. In fact, I might be responsible for Half the streams the song has on Spotify, I digress. The artist is back with “Fire in Rain,” a single released on May 1st. This song deserves more than just your cursory attention, so let’s examine the layers that this fascinating new project has to offer.
