DOCTOR NOIZE TURNS TRIUMPH INTO GROOVE: HOW “SOME PEOPLE SEE, BUT I DON’T” DELIVERS THE ULTIMATE ANTHEM OF RESILIENCE AND INCLUSIVITY

To see the greatness in this music video, one needs to take into consideration the person behind all that: Cory Cullinan, the man better known as Doctor Noize, the multi-genre music artist. Cory has both a bachelor’s degree in music obtained from Stanford University and a master’s degree in Recording Arts; he is an exceptional example of a modern renaissance musician who is not only a record-breaking artist but also an entrepreneur, educator, writer, speaker, app developer, studio owner, and a “philosopher-poet-goofball.” His experience of entering into music comes from resilience. When all his family members died in a year when he was growing up, music turned out to be the haven that saved his soul. Right then and there, he took an oath for life to pay back to society using the same art that helped him, dedicating more than 30 years to creating an acclaimed repertoire full of exuberance and storytelling. With the release of “Some People See, But I Don’t” on July 10, 2026, ahead of the Doc’s long-awaited August album, Positive Energy! (The Music of Doctor Noize), This song was not simply an additional creation – it was a masterpiece created with a purpose. It is the perfect example of how to live life on your own terms and serves as more proof of the Doc’s unique inspiration.

The video begins with a room that is decorated with disco balls and streamers. It cuts to a mother and a daughter who are dancing together. The next scene shows a blind woman who is using a cane, then a man and woman who are sitting behind a piano, then are standing in front of a mic. Next, we see this blind woman again, alone walking with her cane to the mailbox to pick up her mail, then she’s escorted by her daughter up some stairs. Next, we see the man and woman in front of the mic again singing “Some people see but I don’t”. Next, this blind woman is sitting behind a laptop. The video then cuts to this woman who is telling listeners and viewers how she lives her life. First off, she tells us how she remembers the directions to remind her husband when he’s driving, how her daughter helps her at the grocery shop, how she cooks for her family, and how her other daughter helps her pick and style an outfit. We then see the family enjoying a salad that this blind woman made; we see her singing with her husband, dancing with him, and dancing with her daughter. As she sings to her husband, she tells him how he loves him, and she says the same to him. We then see the family spending time together and the man dancing with her husband.  We see the man with a sax, and then we see more things that this lady can do even though she’s blind. The video continues with people with various disabilities or challenges who are doing regular things. We see a woman in a wheelchair, playing with her child, a deaf man, and other people with disabilities who are owning who they are. The video ends with a loving and warm embrace between the man and his wife.

To celebrate Disability Awareness Month, the one-of-a-kind Doctor Noize comes back to remind us of how amazing he truly is with the release of his latest song, “Some People See, But I Don’t”, the ultimate closing song for his highly-anticipated Positive Energy! (The Music of Doctor Noize), coming out in August. Written in tribute, the brilliant song uses its shining heart to express the beautiful life of his wife, Janette, and all the positivity she has brought through her perseverance. And this is indeed a true gem of a pop song driven by a funky melody which manages to transform Janette’s ordinary walk as a blind person into a spectacular story about someone who can easily overcome any limitations through intelligence, confidence, and firm beliefs. In stark contrast to typical stories full of problems of people facing various adversities, this song is presented as a bright monument to the incredible character of Janette, showing the rest of the world that strength and elegance are reserved only for those daring to see the world from their own unique angle.

True to the artist’s lifelong commitment to radical inclusivity, the production of the music video—expertly directed by the couple’s extraordinarily talented daughter, Sidney Cullinan—turns this funk-driven celebration into a deeply moving family affair. Rather than relying on distant or polished cinematic tropes, the visual language breathes with an intimate, living-room warmth, radiating pure admiration and unfeigned human connection in every frame. It shines a glorious, unblinking spotlight on Janette and a vibrant tapestry of individuals who navigate the world with fierce authenticity, transforming everyday resilience into an act of quiet, breathtaking heroism that lingers in your chest long after the final chord fades.

This is an outstanding work, which is a strong testimony that being a person with a disability does not affect their value as a human being; and he breaks down those ancient stereotypes with poise, elegance, and pride along with his lovely family. This is what happens when one’s passion runs deep within, and through music we understand that it really is the great leveler. I am on the edge of my seat, hoping for more music from this talented and kind-hearted artist.
