Henry Aberson’s soulful track “Hang It Up” features a sleek vocal performance from Nariah Taylor, as well as extra producing credit on the keys from Korey Keys.
You’ll be left wanting more after hearing ‘Hang It Up.’ It’s not just the song itself that’s impressive, but also the sound quality and sonic details. It’s an unstoppable symphony of sounds. Taylor’s vocals are flawless, with echoes of Erykah Badu and Jill Scott. The drums are spot on, as are the guitars and keys, which are carefully placed.
Henry Aberson’s remarkable discography continues with this album; mixing soul, neo-soul, and funk, the Tulsa-based producer and drummer invites different musicians and vocalists each time, making the project a sort of prolonged collaboration, a formula that clearly works for him. Aberson is joined by Nariah Taylor (vocals), Korey Keys, Chris Campbell, and Cortex Johnson this time around.
