The song starts off in a very energetic and upbeat way. Right there and then, you know that you need to get up because it’s time to ROCK!!!
Mardi Gras’ fourth studio album, “Sandcastle,” tells the story of Cecilia and Nicholas, two orphaned siblings who move around New Jersey in the 80s. The second single, which is this song “Cinematica,” focuses on Sebastian, the central character in “Sandcastle.” Sebastian’s hedonism and narcissism are revealed to Cecilia in a tragic moment. He is the last remaining Superstar, despite being both attractive and seemingly unattainable. He asserts his position unequivocally and disregards all rules. Everyone has to submit to his will.
This song has Liina Rätsep on vocals, Fabrizio Fontanelli on acoustic guitar, Alessandro Matilli on piano and keyboards, Carlo Di Tore Tosti on bass Valerio, Giovanardi on drums, and Fabrizio Del Marchesato on electric guitar. All these professionals came together to make this incredible single
“Sandcastle” is a powerful and very profound record, based on an original story treatment written by Sante Sabbatini, Francesco Braida, and Filippo Novelli, available now as a Graphic Musical. Mardi Gras is an introspective trip filled with emotions that emphasise Man’s vulnerability and vulnerabilities are reduced, while his power and beauty are enhanced.
This song was so beautiful and has so much power. I loved the story of Cecilia and Nicholas. Just hearing their part of the story has made me curious to hear the rest of the story. We love coherent storytelling here on this blog. MARDI GRAS is very talented and I can’t wait to hear more of their music
