Let’s take a look at the theme of the song. This song criticizes the present notion of masculinity as characterized by arrogance, entitlement, and emotional insensitivity. The song mocks the idea of male genius, revealing the fallacy beneath the veneer. (“Wise guys spend too much. Wise guys are out of touch. Wise guys think they know, wise guys lose their cool”). This is a very vital message in these times, it tells us that masculinity is much more than being emotionally distant, mean, and nonchalant The song is catchy, darkly hilarious, and offers social critique.
In terms of production, the song featured Whistled hook, thumping beat, and razor-edged lyrics that, sent a crystal clear message to listeners. The artist is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who later enrolled in The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama’s post-graduate program in music technology. He has a strong musical history and has contributed to multiple albums in addition to performing in internationally famed traveling bands.
The artist was very clear about the message in the song and it is even evident in the cover picture of the single. The picture is an edited image of science giant and genius Albert Einstein but, he is sticking his tongue out. Using such an image is very powerful, it tells us that the standard of masculinity has changed and reinterpreted over the years
