Calling him a musician would be an understatement as big as the cosmos itself, for he is not only a crucial element in our culture’s architecture but also a zealous protector of our collective consciousness. The reason behind the ever-transcending nature of his work lies in the radical unselfishness, the way he gives himself up, time and time again, to the overwhelming burden of the message he delivers. Our lives and our breaths were filled with the magic of “Doing Fine,” “USA,” “Not My America,” “Righteousness,” and “Parachute”, the anthems that we carved into our hearts at the first sound of the needle on the record. Now he’s back. His latest masterpiece, “Guillotine,” came out on August 28th. Let’s get inside the details of the song.

OpCritical channels all that rage from history and uses it in the present day as his seventh song and music video of 2026. It’s not just a piece of history; it’s a statement of reckoning. This is the moment when people, having reached their limit, rise against their oppressors with pitchforks and torches and bring their oppressors face to face with their own judgment. The lyrics take a strong shot at the aristocracy of today that lives in its own little ivory tower, showing no concern at all for the millions who are merely surviving. In the chorus, where the words, “Right now, grab the pitchforks, heads off, straight to the guillotine,” reverberate in the blood, one can hear the same roar coming from people fed up with inequality.
