Parris Goebel, a celebrity choreographer and Nike ambassador, will create her own Nike Dunk Low collection. This will be her debut pair of shoes. The Dunk, which Goebel already considers her go-to sneaker when practising her techniques, sees Goebel give the perennially popular model a colourful makeover with vivid colours and sly nods to her trade.

Pink patent leather and buttery bronze leather are combined for the upper of the Goebel’s Dunk, creating subtle colorblocking on top of high-quality materials. Goebel’s vibrant Dunks feature a traditional rubber sole with additional pretty-in-pink colouring and what appears to be deliberate fading. Her collaboration has an ice cream-like quality. You might say it’s a sweet take, don’t you?

The Goebel’s Dunks receive gilded Swooshes for lace charms and are finished with crystal decorations just when you thought the sneaker couldn’t get any crazier. Why not just add a little additional glitz to your shoes?

The dance-inspired Nike branding and the “5678” dance count on the tongue of Goebel’s Dunk also serve as subtle nods to her abilities. Not to add that the Goebel’s audacious plan mirrors her brash, independent gestures. If she were a Dunk, it would be Goebel rather literally.
