YME Releases “I Can Be Your Demon”

I Can Be Your Demon, a single recently released by YME, is of a beauty that cannot be explained so easily.

The song “I Can Be Your Demon” is about a bad relationship I was in. A heartfelt song that reminds us a little of Lorde’s style, which is really authentic and which we admire in terms of writing. YME, however, struggles to find a place in the music industry because of her autism, as she explains: “I Can Be Your Demon” is about a terrible relationship she was in. A heartfelt song that reminds us a little of Lorde’s style, which is really authentic and which we admire in terms of writing. YME, on the other hand, finds it difficult to fit in with other artists because she has autism.

The songs are about her personal experiences, and she believes that by listening to them, her audience would be able to relate to her struggles with autism.

Moreover, I Can Be Your Demon has a much improved production that shows great care for the song, transforming it into a well-disintegrated crystal with each side having its own beauty but which, as a whole, is a unique piece that cannot be copied because it has been dedicated to its own originality.

Jean Kluger and Daniel Banghalter, whose son is Daft Punk’s Thomas Banghalter, were among the Ottawa producers who helped out. Marco Roosink produces YME’s music, which she writes herself.

YME, whose true name is Ymkje de Bijl, has a long history in the music industry. His mother, Esther de Bijl alias E-Starr, was the lead vocalist of the 1980s band Ottawan, who had successes including “DISCO” and “Hands Up.” She was diagnosed with autism at a young age (3 years old), which she overcame by writing fantastic songs shaken by melancholy and mystery that are still incredibly poignant.
