Jadamarie reminicing about the day she finished writing this song, saying “like it was yesterday”. Jadamarie recall laying in her bed after a long day in the heart of Los Angeles. She began to question the universal concept of love and if she was ever going to experience that feeling again after being heartbroken. And that’s when she felt a light bulb went off in her head.

“What if I turned my pain and uncertainty into a lighthearted melody?” she said. While she was making the beat, Jadamarie was influenced by the sounds of lofi and indie hip-hop. She wanted this song to feel like a warm lullaby with a throbbing beat underneath. The message that she want to spread through her music is that “you don’t always have to hold misery in your heart. You can turn it into musical joy.”
