Is it wiser to have dinner with Jay-Z or accept $500,000 in cash? In two parts, the rapper and business mogul himself weighs in on the ongoing online discussion in an interview that will appear later this week on “CBS Mornings.” JAY-Z declared, “You’ve gotta take the money,” adding that his rhymes already contained all the knowledge one could learn from a conversation with him over lunch. “You’ve got all that in the music for $10.99.”

“I wouldn’t tell you to cut a bad deal. Like, take the $500,000, go buy some albums, and listen to the albums,” he said. “It’s all there. If you piece it together and really listen to the music for the words, well, what it is, it’s all there.”

I wouldn’t advise you to make a poor decision. Like, go buy some CDs with the $500,000, listen to the music,” he continued. It is all present. Everything is there if you put everything together and pay close attention to the music for the text.”
